    About the role

    We are looking for an enthusiastic Applied Controls to join our team specializing in Engineering for our Engine Business Segment in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Development of engine calibration (tuning) using Model in loop as well as Hardware in loop simulation.
    • Verification and validation test planning and execution for developed calibration and engine controller.
    • Analyzing data from test bench and/or vehicles and reporting results, issues, and next steps to the key stakeholders.
    • Technical documentation for design reviews part of product development.
    • Utilising data and technical reports to present conclusions and solutions to a wide range of stakeholders
    • Work in cross-functional teams to develop products and resolve issues using industry standard problem-solving techniques.

    What you'll need

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • We are looking for a wide range of candidates studying towards a STEM related degree
    • Strong collaborative skills to communicate effectively across cross functional teams
    • Ability to problem solve and work in an adaptable, fast paced work environment
    • Good level of Microsoft Office and data analysis
