    We are looking for an enthusiastic Capital Analyst student to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Huddersfield. This is a full-time, hybrid role working Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week.

    What you'll do

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Support the capital process for establishing the five-year capital plan for Cummins Engine Components
    • Assisting the Capital Manager to run internal systems to ensure clear understanding of current capital expenditure, coordinating input from all functions worldwide
    • Support the Capital Manager to run the capital forecast process as well as capital allocation / risks and exposures
    • Ensure timely reporting of capital status both within Cummins Engine Components and onward line leadership and respond to short notice capital requirements (create analysis, reports / presentations for stakeholders)
    • Work closely with worldwide finance functions in Cummins Engine Components
    • Support project work and the day-to-day administration of capital management systems as well as understanding new business requirements, support improvement and undertake a post investment audit

    What you'll need

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Working towards a Degree in either Business or Accounting ideally with a background in Finance or Business Processes, databases, systems operation, and analysis
    • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills with the ability to work well within a team and use your initiative
    • Ambition, flexibility, numeracy and confidence coupled with creativity, imagination and a desire to learn; and a willingness to take on responsibility
