We are looking for an enthusiastic Business or Engineering student to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Plant Support business unit in Huddersfield. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 2 nd June 2025.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Reman Manufacturing & Plant Product Engineering to assess existing Reman Standards for each component
  • Compare Charleston & Recon Reman Standard/Specifications with Huddersfield Reman processes to identify any discrepancies or areas for improvement
  • Determine the feasibility of implementing the Standard/Specification or recommend necessary amendments for alignment
  • Evaluate any supplementary Reman limits for each component, ensuring that data supports these limits or determine if they are based on historical figures
  • Document all relevant data pertaining to additional Reman limits for future reference and analysis
  • Assist the Design Team to create detailed drawings for re-manufactured components, exploring the possibility of grouping components with similar dimensions to streamline the creation of a drawing table

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Studying towards a degree within Project Management, Engineering or STEM
  • Engineering or Manufacturing knowledge would be beneficial
  • Proficient in business tools including Microsoft Office 365
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with a keen eye for detail
