The role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Facilities Maintenance Placement Student to join our Facilities team specializing in process improvement at our state-of-the-art distribution centre in Daventry. The successful student will be tasked with digitalizing current data collection systems and supporting with site improvement projects.
Working as part of the UK Logistics Centre Facilities team and the successful candidate will make an impact in the following ways:
- Identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities within the facility and rolling out improvement projects
- Using Continuous Improvement and Industrial Engineering techniques to measure processes and quantify improvements
- Planned Preventative Maintenance improvements
- Updating/digitalizing current Facilities data collection processes
- liaising with project management and contractor management
- Parts and materials sourcing
- Hands on help for onsite Technicians
- Ability to understand data, solve problems and think innovatively
- Working towards a degree in Business or Facilities Management
- Excellent IT Skills, in particular Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint (AutoCAD beneficial)
- Works well as part of a team, Ability to manage workload effectively
