    About the role

    We are looking for an enthusiastic General Ledger Placement Student to join our team specializing in Finance for our Power Systems Business segment in UK, Daventry/Kent. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • The role supports the General Ledger Accountant in the day-to-day tasks, this includes monitoring and processing credit and reinvoice requests, price update requests, maintenance of Fixed Assets registers, month end tasks including preparing, posting journals, and reviewing Balance Sheet accounts, preparing VAT returns, annual Statutory Tax Packs and assisting stakeholders including external and internal auditors.
    • Working within one of two GL Placement Roles at Daventry Plant and provide support for Kent tasks/processes.
    • Processing credit and reinvoice requests.
    • Preparing journal entries for month end close and monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts.
    • Lead, as well as participate in. process improvement efforts and maintain internal control documentation.
    • Financial liaison for non-finance leaders, providing reporting and analysis support.

    What you'll need

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Second Year Student: Studying a relevant Degree course.
    • Strong analytical and Organizational skills.
    • Communications skills.
    • Ability to work with large amounts of data.
