The role
We are looking for a confident & active HR Shared Service (HRSS) – Placement Student to join our team which delivers HRSS lines within the EMEA region for our Cummins Business Services business segment in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- This role supports six key areas under HRSS (Health & Wellbeing Benefits, Global Mobility, Global OnBoarding, Payroll, Retirement Benefits and Time & Attendance)
- Consults with stakeholders to ensure understanding of HRSS support programmes, policies and services.
- Assists in the collection, consolidation and interpretation of reports and data analysis required for programs and cost management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Builds and maintains effective partnerships with business, functional, regional and Corporate HR organizations.
- Participates on cross-organisational project teams to design, improve and implement effective HRSS processes and serves as an Internal and External resource on HRSS related inquiries.
- Maintains records and reports on individual and group training progress using common tools and systems; uses evaluation data as a guide for program revisions.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Studying towards a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Economics, Finance or related field with strong interest in HR and not graduating this academic year.
- Experience in, and can demonstrate, relevant examples of Cummins core values e.g. voluntary work, community involvement activities, working with disadvantaged groups, charity related support, delivering results, teamwork, and outside education experiences
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, attention to detail, time management, approachability and ability to work independently.
- PC literacy – MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook)
