    We are looking for an enthusiastic New Product Introduction student to join our team specializing in Quality for our Power Systems Business Segment in Daventry. This is a full-time, role working Monday to Friday 37.5hrs per week starting summer 2024. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Complete engine design reviews for the NPI department
    • Attend design review meetings
    • Create and manage engine/genset process documentation
    • Record & update issues on the internal database
    • Organise and lead meetings with various stakeholders
    • Support NPI engine builds through the manufacturing process

    What you'll need

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Studying towards a Bachelor or Master's degree across all Engineering & STEM related subjects
    • Good PC literacy – a knowledge of 3D modelling software (Solid works/Creo/Fusion 360 etc.) and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Practical approach to support technical innovation, be able to recommend improvements, and ability to manage own projects
    • Has experience in, and can demonstrate, relevant examples of Cummins core values e.g., voluntary work, community involvement activities, working with disadvantaged groups, charity related support, delivering superior results, teamwork, good communication, competencies, and outside education experiences
