    About the role

    We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Design Engineer to join our team specializing in engineering for our Engine Business Segment in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Liaising with cross functional teams to understand project processes.
    • Ownership of a project taking a component from concept through to development and production.
    • Collaborates with external stakeholders such as suppliers to understand associated project costs.
    • Arranging testing for prototype parts, understanding requirements for each test.
    • Completing validation and verification tests for components.
    • Analysing and reporting test results, providing communication updates across teams and participating in design reviews.

    What you'll need

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • We are looking for a wide range of candidates studying towards a STEM related degree.
    • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with good level of competency using Microsoft applications.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present across a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Willingness to learn with strong attention to detail.
