    We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Engineer to join our team specializing in engineering for our Power Systems Business Segment in Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

    What you'll do

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Responsible for the design, development, validation, and failure analysis of engine components on engine platforms ranging from 19 to 95L Diesel and Gas engines.
    • An opportunity to work with-in one of the engine sub-system teams which includes Air Handling System, Lubrication, Cooling Systems, Base Engine System, Power Cylinder, Crank Rod & Gear Train systems.
    • Experience gained in engine system problem solving, performance, design, component investigation, test cell operation, data gathering & processing, recognizing/reporting discrepancies in results, engine test development and project management.
    • Can develop designs from concept through to fully detailed, production drawings with supporting documentation.
    • Will interact and managing a wide range of global / local cross functional groups / departments to co-ordinate project delivery.
    • Will have the opportunity to flourish by assisting with component instrumentation, engine builds and post-test engine tear downs and physical component inspection and analysis.

    What you'll need

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Will be needing to study towards a Mechanical / Automotive/ Aerospace engineer, STEM degree with a 12-mouth placement in the industry.
    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Project management / Leadership skill / Teamwork.
    • Able to manage time well and work on multiple projects in parallel.
    • Any design software skills would be beneficial but not compulsory.
