We are looking for an enthusiastic Facilities placement student to join our team specializing in in Business and Facilities for our Facilities team in Sandwich, Kent. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence 1st June/July 2025.
This role will largely be onsite for the best experience so you must be able to travel to the location although some hybrid working can be considered if required.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Working within a regional organization working with local onsite teams encompassing a mix of technology, operational day to day facilities and strategic portfolio development.
- Being involved in project tasks and have the responsibility of contributing to real projects with tight deadlines and significant scope.
- Serving as a support resource on projects and work assignments.
- Ensuring application of company, industry, national, and international standards and engaging with required functional areas as needed.
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with Cummins / Supplier MSA through the utilization of computer aided facilities management software and data analytics.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives through key performance indicators (KPI’S).
- Enhance strategic planning through metrics and data analytics, looking at trends and patterns and anticipating future challenges / opportunities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Studying towards a degree in a STEM, Building Services or a Business-related subject.
- Have an interest in the built environment, inclusivity and be able to link sustainability goals to operational practices.
- Excellent IT ability, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills with the ability to work well within a team and use your initiative.
- Ambition, flexibility and confidence coupled with creativity, imagination and a desire to learn; and a willingness to take on responsibility.
