    We are looking for a placement student to join our team specializing in Purchasing for EMEA Region based in Peterborough for a 12-month placement. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

    The EMEA specialized purchasing office is primarily responsible for the management of suppliers in this region, supplying products to (standby) power projects (Data Centers, Gas Projects) across the EMEA region, the different Cummins country distributors, and the marine channel.

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways

    • Providing dedicated assistance to one or more sourcing teams within the office
    • Working with a group of suppliers to assist on purchase order management, cost reduction, capacity planning, quality performance and risk mitigation
    • Specific project work in support of functional objectives
    • Involvement in functional excellence – opportunity to work with other business units in the region to help share common processes, tools, and resources to better achieve business goals
    • Data analysis to assist purchasing KPIs and specific project requirements
    • Engagement with other functions, including supplier quality, material planning, finance, and engineering

    To be successful in this role you will need the following

    • Working towards a degree – preferably Engineering or Business related (and not graduating this academic year).
    • IT Skills.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills
    • Focus on details
