    Deep Silver Dambuster Studios are looking for a talented Junior Environment Artist. The successful candidate will join the studio as it enters the next exciting phase in its (almost) 24 year history as we prepare to launch the eagerly awaited Dead Island 2 and look to embark on new adventures.

    If you have experience in building world assets such as building structures, terrains or environmental props then we'd love to speak with you.

    This role is being offered on an in-studio basis only, successful candidates will be required to work from our studio in Nottingham city centre.

If you feel that you have the skills, knowledge and passion required to join them, then we definitely want to hear from you, but here are some of the things that we always like to see.

    What You Need to Help Us Bring the Dead to Life

    Here are the fundamental skills and expertise required to be a successful Junior Environment Artist at Dambuster Studios:

    • Experience with painting software.
    • Experience with 3d modelling software (3ds Max and Maya preferred).
    • An understanding of current generation texturing processes, tools and workflows.
    • Great communication skills and a solid team-player attitude.

    Not Essential, but Great to Have:

    • Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 and the according toolset.
    • Traditional painting and drawing skills.

    What We Will Look For in Your Portfolio:

    Don’t worry if your portfolio isn’t full of apocalyptic scenery, show us some of the things listed below and you’ll be stiff competition (pun intended):

    • An eye for detail and realism.
    • The creation of high-poly assets.
    • An understanding of the normal mapping process.
    • An understanding of UV layout and how to get the best out of your textures.
    • Well-structured composition within work shown.

    • Completing all tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard.
    • Demonstrating a desire to learn and grow professionally.
