An exciting opportunity for a 6-month Internship to commence in June 2023. Good prospect of a permanent role after the Internship for the right candidate.
The Team
Our Loan Syndications team are an experienced and diverse group of five professionals with all but one of the team based in London (plus a dedicated lawyer).
They are responsible for the underwriting and distribution of syndicated loan transactions originated for the corporate and financial sponsor client base of the bank.
The team works predominantly with clients across the Nordic region in a variety of sectors (including renewable energy and infrastructure finance) and transaction structures (including leveraged buy-outs and project finance).
The Role
Your role will be assisting all members of the team, providing you with excellent opportunities to learn different facets of the Loans Syndications business. You will be supported by the team so that you can take on tasks including:
- manage the team’s various deal and investor databases
- source and analyse "comp" information to support pricing, pitching and syndication of deals
- produce internal market update documents and external pitch books targeted to both prospective borrowers and debt investors
- maintain league table submissions
About You
- A minimum 2:1 degree in Finance, Business/Management or Economics providing you with the academic understanding and underpinning needed for this role.
- It is important you are proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint (some prior exposure to Bloomberg is helpful).
- It would be preferable to have some prior experience (including previous internships/work shadowing/work placement) of working in a financial institution, preferably a bank
- Good communication skills and fluency in English is a requirement.
- We are looking for someone who is confident, keen to learn and a good team player.
