A Delaware Consultant has an analytical mind and enjoys taking a deep dive into logistics and operational business processes; advanced problem-solving skills enabling them to guide customers through an IT implementation; passion, drive and perseverance; awesome team mates.
About delaware
We exist to help our clients reach their full potential, by applying our common sense, business experience and passion for technology.
Delaware is a global consultancy that partners with leading technology providers such as SAP (Platinum Partner) and Microsoft to deliver advanced digital solutions. We develop, innovate and implement technology transformations guiding our clients towards an intelligent future.
Everyone at Delaware is a steward of the business. We are building for the future and for those that succeed us and we take responsibility for our relationship with the social and ecological environment.
If this sounds like you, then why not think about kickstarting your career within Delaware’s Graduate Programme? Read on for more information about the different roles we have.
Graduate Functional Consultant (Entry Level)
Our functional consultants are specialists in Microsoft and SAP. They have knowledge across the board covering finance, production planning, manufacturing, sales and distribution and Human Resources (to name only a few).
These consultants spend their time working closely with our clients to understand current business processes. Within the delivery of a project, they take these current processes on existing software and configure the software to tailor exactly to the client's needs. Areas we will provide training for you include:
- understanding current business processes
- configuring software, forms, interfaces and reports
- testing the new functionality through cycles of scripts and scenarios
- advising clients on current best practice
Graduate Delivery Consultant (Entry Level)
Our Project Directors, Managers and PMO (Project Management Office) are perhaps the most visible functional area, this team encompasses the planning, controlling and reporting of each project, working closely with our clients to provide the best delivery we can! Areas we will provide training for you include:
- costing a project
- leading a team
- managing the overall plan and relative workload
- forming a strong relationship with the client
- resolving and escalating issues
Graduate Technical Consultant (Entry Level)
Technical consultants lay the foundation for all our project work. They specialise in designing and developing the system itself, analysing andmigrating through the relevant data and ensuring the system is secure and protected.
Technical consultants are often required to 'build' any client specific enhancements or customisations to the software as advised by our functional consultants, meaning that their skill set includes various coding languages as well as extensive knowledge of software, extensions and patches. Areas we will provide training for you include:
- issue resolution, 'debugging' the software
- advising, building, and developing client customisations
- analysing and migrating required data ensuring each new solution is 'cyber secure'
Graduate Change Consultant (Entry Level)
Our change management consultants identify, contain and manage risk resolving from the implementation of a new IT system. These consultants provide advisory services on all areas of business and deploy leading edge technology to drive operational efficiency and reduce working capital costs.
They focus on three elements necessary to implement a successful transformation project: people, process and technology. Areas we will provide training for you include:
- review, revise and improve existing processes
- define new processes and ways of working
- identify impact to the business of implementing new technology
- help manage the risk of implementing new technology

Right to work
Please note that it is a legal requirement that you have the right to work in the UK by the time you commence employment. We therefore ask those shortlisted for interview to provide evidence of their right to work in the UK during the recruitment process.
Delaware holds a sponsor licence but not all roles are suitable for sponsorship, especially as, in some cases, individuals are required to work on long term client contracts, and this is not permitted under the sponsorship regime. Also, in some case individuals may be required to work in Ireland or elsewhere in Europe at short notice. If you do not currently have the right to work in the UK we will still consider your application.
If your application is successful beyond the first interview stage we will consider whether sponsorship is a possibility or, where appropriate, whether there are any other immigration options available but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that sponsorship will always be possible.
