Deloitte recognises that individuals from a range of diverse backgrounds, and particularly those from Black Heritage backgrounds, are severely under-represented in the Professional Services sector.

To address the disproportionate challenges they face, we're delighted to be running a new initiative in partnership with Bright Network, where attendees will be offered the chance to gain new skills, knowledge and most importantly, the confidence to realise their potential and start a successful career.

What is the Career Coaching Programme?

The Career Coaching Programme is a series of interactive webinars, each designed to give you the insights, advice and skills to support you in your starting your career journey.

There will be 5 core sessions running fortnightly, and then during the alternate weeks we'll be hosting drop in sessions where you can come and ask the team any questions you might have about anything to do with job searching and careers, whether it be CV tips, application advice or even just getting help with understanding where to start.

Who is this for?

The programme is designed to support Black heritage or mixed heritage members, as well as allies who recognise the underrepresentation of diverse backgrounds within the industry.

You also need to be over the age of 18 and either be planning on attending, currently at, or have graduated from, a UK university.

Programme Structure

During the programme, we'll be covering the following topics:

  • Skills for the modern workplace
  • Job applications 101 (including the use of AI)
  • The world of professional services and commercial awareness
  • Dealing with nerves and imposter syndrome
  • Deloitte panel event

In-between each of the above, you'll also have access to drop-in sessions, which are the perfect opportunity to access personal support and receive guidance on how to navigate job processes. This will be a safe space where you can ask your questions without fear of looking silly or under-prepared, so we’d strongly advise you make the most of these sessions!
