Key responsibilities

Selling Mortgage and Life Products

  • Follow up leads and book appointments for potential new clients
  • Follow up mortgage reviews and generate appointments
  • Sit in on client appointments and draft follow up communications
  • Recommended the best deal for the client
  • Printing illustrations and comparables
  • Recommend Life cover, prepare life quotes and follow through to close
  • Place Mortgage and life cases on the Smartr system

Systems and Processes

  • Learn the Mortgage Brain System
  • Key Agreements In Principle (AIP) prior to submission of full application
  • Research quotes on Mortgage Brain
  • Become fully conversant with the Smartr system
  • Understand electronic identification process (EIDV)

Research and Market Knowledge

  • Research mortgage products to identify the best deal for the client
  • Recommend panel Solicitors
  • Understand different types of surveys
  • Ensure Sesame Learning Plans are dealt with as and when they fall due
  • Read and understand Sesame compliance manual

Requirements

  • Proven interest and skills in sales
  • Thorough understanding of all applicable legislation (list key requirements)
  • Committed to study for CEMAP 1, 2 and 3 examinations
  • Ambition to succeed
  • Familiarity working within the estate agency or mortgage environment would be preferred
