    Dimensional's Legal group is an in-house team of client-focused lawyers, paralegals, and legal assistants who partner with internal and external teams to help provide legal expertise across business functions, legal systems, and jurisdictions.

    The Paralegal provides legal support to various business areas of the Company and assists the Legal team on a variety of investment management, and general company/commercial related issues. The Paralegal will work with lawyers employed by or providing services to the Company and may work autonomously as well. The Paralegal will work closely with the business and with various specialist teams within the global legal team located in the US and Ireland.

    Responsibilities

    General legal support - provision of support to the business on European corporate and regulatory issues that arise in relation to the asset management services of the Company and other European entities, including but not limited to:

    • Preparation and review of board agendas and materials, drafting of board memoranda, resolutions and minutes and co-ordination with directors, internal teams and service providers
    • Assistance in relation to general corporate and operational matters, and related filings (e.g. with Companies House)
    • Assistance with document execution and co-ordination with executives
    • Assistance with implementation related to legal agreements, including intercompany agreements and investment management agreements
    • Manage CASS 8 categorization process
    • Manage corporate recurring and annual items
    • Assistance in relation to Dimensional’s OEICs, including support on product development projects
    • Assist with legal invoice co-ordination and processing
    • Assistance with project work as it arises
    • Liaison and co-ordination with the global legal team and other counsel as needed

    Education / skills

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required (LPC or looking to complete SQE desirable)
    • Legal assistant or Paralegal experience (and/or possibly Compliance, Company Secretarial or Tax experience); preferably in a law firm or in the financial services industry
    • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
    • Strong communication skills, and in particular drafting skills for board related documentation
    • Well organized and good analytical skills
    • Independent thinker with positive team player attitude
    • Self-starter who is capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management systems
    • Experience with document comparison software preferred
