    At DLG Legal Services, our mission is to make law easy and accessible to everyone. As part of the Direct Line Group, we provide legal services to over 50,000 DLG customers each year. Customers can access our legal Advice-line team and our growing list of services includes personal injury, employment, property, inheritance, and contract litigation. We also support our parent group, litigating on their behalf.

    We have exciting opportunities for several Legal Assistants to join us based from our Bristol office to work as part of the Claims Support Team assisting the Civil Litigation Department. The Civil Litigation Department compromises of Employment, Property and Consumer teams.

    The Role

    As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting members of the litigation teams.

    What you’ll be doing

    • You will be responsible for onboarding clients as well as offering advice and support on any issues that may arise.
    • Assisting the team with administrative duties and projects as needed such as bundling documents and liaising with clients and third parties.
    • Reviewing files and referring queries to fee earners to ensure proactive progression of cases.
    • Responsible for maintaining precedent letter and knowledge bank.
    • Liaise with other departments to resolve queries on matters.
    • Be the first point of contact for policy and case management questions.

    We will provide full training as well as opportunities to progress in line with our strategic development plan.

    What we are looking for

    • Someone with a demonstratable interest in law.
    • Exceptional communication skills, both in writing and in face-to-face and phone interactions.
    • Ability to work well under pressure with high attention to detail.
    • Confident individual able to work towards deadlines.
    • Administration experience and/or experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
