What you'll be doing

You will be part of the Commercial Packages Pricing team, but it is a varied role where you might assist with projects with other teams within the department. Your focus will be on Landlord, Tradesman and other SME products. You'll need to balance longer-term projects with fulfilling smaller requests, and be prepared to adapt your work as our business needs adapt. As with any of our pricing roles you will have a responsibility to analyse product performance and provide insight to support our business managers in achieving their targets. You may also be involved in projects that implement new factors, data or risk model improvements into our rating algorithms, or aid development of our long term pricing capabilities.

You will build relationships and represent the team. We need great presenters who can understand and communicate pricing ideas clearly to colleagues from other business areas. We also need someone who can develop trust, and influence decisions when there are difficult choices to be made. Commercial Lines are transforming their pricing capability, and investing in technology and data to support this. As a result, there is plenty of opportunity for you to make an impact on how we do things in the future, as well as having an impact on current product pricing.

Proactive thinking and a drive to improve yourself as well as the work you and your colleagues do is also very important. This is a department that is always looking to improve, and your insight will be very valuable in our efforts to deliver a robust product which delivers great customer value.
