About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Underwriting Analyst/Graduate to join our dynamic and high-performing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the underwriting process, conducting comprehensive data analysis, and assisting in strategic decision-making activities. Your insights will be instrumental in ensuring that our underwriting strategies and approaches align closely with the broader goals of the organization.
As an Underwriting Analyst, you will work closely with senior underwriters to oversee the profitability of both new and existing consumer warranty business lines. You will be responsible for performing in-depth analysis, producing Underwriting rating models for accurate pricing of plans in line with Underwriting policy guidelines and processes. Your ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable pricing and risk recommendations will be essential to achieving a balanced approach between profitable growth and market opportunities.
Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, a solid understanding of data modeling, and the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively. Knowledge and expertise
- The Underwriting analyst will have extensive knowledge of sales journeys, price points and claims processes that impacts on risk and pricing
- Rating System knowledge (trained)
- Data extraction through SQL via Databricks
- Data Analysis and Modelling via Excel, PowerBI and Earnix
