This is an interesting and varied role that covers aspects of software development, hardware, networks and databases.
The role
Working with Domino's coding automation software suite and focusing on our Automation and Integration capabilities, you will be working closely with other areas of the company to:
- Develop Standard Workflows that provide software and hardware solutions for our customers
- Identify and create requirements for standard solutions based on customer requirements.
- Validate and verify solutions before they are released into the market.
- Interact with hardware devices such as Domino’s printer portfolio, barcode readers and visions systems
- Provide technical assistance to support our technical teams with the delivered Domino Automation solutions.
Customer focus is key and so building customer applications and factory simulations will be an integral part in developing our technical capabilities.
About you
You will have a degree in Engineering, Computing, Maths, Science or equivalent, and have the following knowledge or experience:
- Software Programming / Scripting (Object Orientated Language, Python script or similar)
- Protocols knowledge or a willingness to learn.
- Understanding of hardware systems – installation and operation
- Practical experience of communications and networks (TCP/IP, etc)
- Database competency – ideally MS-SQL or ODBC connections
- PC \ IT knowledge – basic security, network configuration and software installations.
- VPN and remote support tools
