We’re looking for an Undergraduate IT Support Placement to join our award winning team in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside. We can offer up £1300 to cover the cost of UK relocation expenses (this excludes personal expenses such as rent etc.)
This opportunity offers a year-long industry placement between September 2024 - August 2025 with a salary of £22,000 for a 2nd year university student currently studying a Computer Science or related degree.

What you'll be doing
You will be given the opportunity to help set up and maintain many aspects of the game development infrastructure. With exposure to development hardware, network infrastructure cloud systems, project management, issue management and escalation
- Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
- Talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues
- Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
- Replace parts as required
- Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
- Follow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
- Support the roll-out of new applications
- Set up new users' accounts and profiles and deal with password issues
- Respond within agreed time limits to call-outs
- Work continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate)
- Prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
- Rapidly establish a good working relationship with other professionals, such as software developers and quality assurance
- Test and evaluate new technology
- Conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment
- Wire and run network and other computer related cable management
What we're looking for
A second year student of a Computer Science or related degree

What does selection look like?
