The role

The role is based around a series of projects targeted at developing a great foundational knowledge of an engineering business as well as developing your communication, project planning and problem-solving skills. You will get the opportunity to spend time with and learn about the different business functions as well as spending time working in the engineering disciplines (R&D, Electronics, Mechanics, Firmware, Reliability, Manufacturing) relevant to your experience. The final part of the placement will give you the opportunity to complete a larger project or spend time working directly within one of the engineering departments.

The scheme

  • 2 Years duration
  • 3-month long projects in different departments to learn about the business
  • Contribute to the day-to-day workloads of the department
  • 1 key project per department
  • Present Project update and personal learnings following each placement
  • Exposure to other areas of the business where projects may not be available

What you need to have

  • 2:1 or above in an Engineering or relevant Science degree
  • A team player
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
  • An interest in industry (Vision, automation, and industrial environment)
  • Personal development and career minded
  • Able to commit to a two-year contract
