About the role
Dow Jones is looking for an organized individual for an Accounts Payable internship. You will report to the Supervisor, Accounts Payable and have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of AP while working with a team of experienced professionals. You will assist with maintenance of the Master Vendor file in SAP to ensure that we remain compliant with relevant Tax Authority standards and payments are going out with correct banking details. You will also help with the day-to-day operations involved in Accounts Payable including validating invoices and processing invoice exceptions.
You will
- Validate invoices for accuracy for SAP processing
- Process and clear invoices out of SAP exception(s) for business action and/or posting
- Update the Master Vendor File to compliance and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members on management of shared email box and internal ticketing system
- Assist employees with queries related to vendor and invoice status
You have
- At least one year of university completed, working towards a Finance degree
- Analytical approach to solving problems
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail
- Competency with the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
