    About the Role

    Our Finance Manager - International is looking for an ambitious Finance Analyst to join their high performing team who are based at our site in Oldbury. The core element of this role is Brexit focussed.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Extract, manipulate and analyse relevant Duty & VAT data from DPD UK and other third party systems.
    • Ensure all Import Duty/VAT charges from HMRC are recovered from receivers or relevant DPDgroup Business Units.
    • Reconcile HMRC charges to the business deferment account for all imports.
    • Provide prompt payment of invoices to DPDgroup Business Units with a high standard of accuracy relating to Export Duty/VAT charges.
    • Ensure all Export Duty/VAT charges from DPDgroup BUs are recovered from UK customers.
    • Deliver high levels of customer service via developing a culture for speedy resolution of all customer queries relating to Export Duty/VAT.
    • Through multiple stakeholders (e.g. Credit and Billing), ensure all exceptions that arise from the reconciliations are resolved in a timely manner. 
    • Produce weekly reports to highlight amounts billed, percentage recovery rates from BU’s, number of queries and other key KPI’s, exception reporting
    • Any other ad hoc duties as required by the International Finance team.

    Qualifications

    To be considered for this role you will be educated to degree level or equivalent ideally in a maths/analytics or related discipline. You will be highly numerate possessing excellent Excel skills as well as other data-oriented systems. We would also expect

    • Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Have good planning and organisational skills and be able to work in a team
    • Have ability to meet multiple deadlines and work under pressure
    • Be able to establish good working relationships in a cross-functional environment with excellent communication skills
    • Have a positive attitude, flexible approach and a passion to learn
