Job description
We are currently recruiting for a first class Graduate Sortation Manager to join our Hub Management team. In this role you will be working alongside our General Managers on a range of business projects, whilst learning about our Hub Operations and helping the teams achieve ever greater success.
Additional responsibilities will include
- Work with the management teams across all 5 Hubs to assess areas for improvement and to take action to provide best practice
- To achieve goals set by the Management Team to grow and develop new innovative solutions. Producing information and summaries in a clear and concise manner
- Achieving the Hub objectives relating to Health & Safety and productivity to deliver outstanding service to our Depots and Customers
- Manage all operational procedures ensuring the immediate resolution of any problems, whilst maintaining a high quality in all of our processes.
- Working on and leading a wide range of hub projects such as the implementation of new technology, data visualisation, employee development initiatives etc...
Qualifications
What we’re looking for
- You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and ideally this would be in a subject incorporating Business, Logistics or Supply Chain with a minimum 2:1 classification.
- The ability to do comprehensive reporting, alongside analysis of data is a key requirement for this role.
- Have demonstrable background in the use of Microsoft Office or Google Suite at an advanced level.
- Demonstrate high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
- A confident communicator at all levels.
- Demonstrate the core values of DPD DNA – Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work and Accountability.
Job specifics
Due to the nature of our operation this role will require you to work nights. Typically this will be Monday-Friday although some weekend work at busy times may be required
You will have a comprehensive induction to DPD, this will include both a corporate induction followed by a thorough induction of our Hubs and wider Network Operation.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
