    To fulfil a key role within the Marketing Innovation team at DS Smith Retail Marketing. The key focus of this role will be to gather insights via our contracted sources as well as through research; collate and curate those insights to: Elevate the customer experience; provide monthly insights; attract new business; draft social media content; support with IrisPOS reports; keep website content up to date; create compelling case studies of our work; internal Newsletter to the whole business and services and bespoke customer insights needs.

    About the role

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Insights Executive to join us in DS Smith’s Retail Marketing function. The role sits in a small team and in it you will be providing valuable support to the Marketing & Innovation Director in the creation of targeted marketing comms to increase client engagement and open up more sales opportunities.

    You’ll be using your insights as well as contracted insight sources to identify trends and insights for use in:

    • Monthly reports that go out to a large number of influential stakeholders in the industry.
    • Social media and website content on a weekly basis
    • Bespoke Customer insights and white papers to support Sales with compelling engagement experiences
    • Regular retail sector research to feed into the content we deliver about the business and new products through a number of channels.
    • Internal Newsletter content creation delivered quarterly to every person in Retail Marketing
    • Support to the Innovation function to bring new product or service stories to life for our customers.

    You’ll also

    • Support the publication of internal and external marketing communications to our database of contacts and evaluate the success of campaigns via new CRM tool
    • Work with key account teams, photographers and colleagues in the wider DS Smith group on collaboration projects
    • Manage the submission of any industry awards entered, including collation of information and reference materials, and any other administrative work

    About you

    • Strong understanding of gathering salient insights to form relevant marketing collateral
    • Proven understanding of B2B Marketing (Marketing or Business Degree would be an advantage)
    • Confident handling and creative abilities with PowerPoint or InDesign
    • Confident copywriter with a flair for language
    • Inquisitive and analytical
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Confident when presenting to others – there will be development opportunities that involve presenting to key stakeholders
    • Hubspot experience would be desirable
