What you'll be doing
During the scheme you’ll have the opportunity to develop your analytical and statistical skillset, learn how to use data to influence business decisions, and develop a base of knowledge across in-store and online retail. You’ll be partnering with and learning from our talented Analytics and Data teams, as well as retail experts from across our business.
- Day-to-day you’ll be utilizing, learning and developing your analytical and data wrangling skills, working with various functional teams and the wider I&A community to help analyze data to create insights to inform decision making and business strategy.
- You’ll work closely with the business to understand needs and deliver solutions that generate and automate insights from our data.
- You’ll partner with the Data Product and Engineering teams, assisting them in defining data products needed to enable insight.
- You’ll be supported by an experienced Lead to begin with, but will develop towards independently managing your own projects and solutions.
- Your role will involve developing and maintaining data solutions, enabling positive change across the business. We work with big data solutions and visualization platforms such as Snowflake, GCP, AWS and PowerBI.
Over the course of two years, you’ll complete four placements across the I&A team, including spending time in:
- Customer Analytics – understanding who our customers are, how they shop with us and our competitors, uncovering opportunities to improve their shopping experience on our website, and ensuring our marketing is relevant and cost effective.
- Trading Analytics – partnering with the Commercial, stores and supply chain to understand the sales performance of our products and inform future strategy, and inform and measure the impact of initiatives to improve the performance of our 180+ stores and warehouses.
