The purpose of the Brand Marketing department is to generate increased brand love, awareness and consideration in customers, encouraging existing ones to shop more with us and new ones to consider us, all under the umbrella of ‘The Home of Homes.’
The Brand Communications team (sat within the wider Brand Marketing department) is responsible for driving increased awareness, consideration and positive perceptions through owned channels like Organic Social and PR and paid-for channels like Influencers and Advertising.
As a team, we work closely with the Commercial, Digital Trading and Digital Marketing departments to ensure we promote the right products at the right times in the right channels and work with our Community team to spotlight how we as a business can give back through our charity and sustainability initiatives.
We’re looking for a proactive, positive and eager-to-learn Social Media Assistant to join the Organic Social team.
Sat within a warm, supportive and fast-paced department, you will be integral in managing the day-day scheduling and publishing of content for our social media channels (Instagram, Stories, Tiktok and Facebook), making sure our content plans are thoroughly maintained, assisting with reporting, sourcing and managing User Generated Content to add value to our channel and others such as web and CRM and assisting the team with administrative tasks such as ordering products for shoots, managing competition winners and researching content creators.
Although not a creative role, you will also have the opportunity to support and learn on creative projects like video shoots in studio and attending content shoots in our stores.

What you'll be doing
- Support the Senior Social Media Manager and wider team with maintenance of the content plan, making sure all hygiene details are inputted on time and on brief including images, product details, date of publishing etc
- With training from our Senior Social Media Executive, own the scheduling of daily content using social media scheduling tools (Sprout Social)
- Support the Senior Social Media Executive with daily content publishing on our channels as steered by them (Instagram, Stories, Facebook, Tiktok)
- Support the wider Social Media team with project management and administrative tasks. This includes everything from sourcing products for content shoots, contacting competition winners to competitor research
- Support the wider Social Media and Studio team with shoot production, attending shoots where relevant in our studio, stores and on location to lend a hand
- Support with weekly reporting, inputting competitor data each week so that we can keep track of the market. Support the team with monthly and ad hoc social media reporting as required
- With the support of the wider team, own the sourcing and sharing of User Generated Content, requesting rights, downloading content, saving to relevant spaces and updating other departments (such as web) in the process
- Support the wider Social Media team with the creation of weekly briefs for Instagram Stories, attending meetings with our Copy and Design teams to discuss workflow, requirements and creative
- Support the wider Social Media team with attendance at Influencer meetings, adding live dates to the Influencer tracker and assisting with monthly reporting, helping to pull numbers and add them to the relevant documents
- Support the Social Media Manager with the maintenance of video workflow boards, uploading briefs to help our Studio team plan and manage our shoots
- Support the team by raising POs and updating our budget tracker
- Assist the team with content planning packs and ad hoc planning requests
- Support the team with ad hoc paid social requests
- Support the wider Brand Comms team as and when required/ during peak periods like our seasonal Press Shows and brand campaigns. This may include preparing for events or shoots as needed.
What we'll look for in you
- Proven experience with social media content (ideally within a business setting but could be in your personal or university life if the experience is relevant). A strong interest in social media channels and trends
- Administrative experience with a keen eye for detail and ability to get the job done
- An upbeat, can-do attitude and a desire to learn from a warm and supportive team
- Excellent time management skills
- An open, people person. Keen to foster good working relationships with a wealth of different stakeholders
- A natural curiosity and interest in social media reporting and analysis
