Dunelm is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to support with the business's expanding supply chain operations. This role will focus on analysing data for effective operational planning within Dunelm’s supply chain. This role will suit someone who is able to generate significant process improvements and manage a wide range of stakeholders. Transforming data into insight and producing well-considered recommendations in a fast-paced and variable environment. Developing enduring relationships with key stakeholders through effective and open communication will allow the candidate to influence decisions. This role will report into the Senior Supply Chain Planning and Optimisation Manager.
Location for this role is flexible, but travel to our Store Support Centre in Leicester and to our Distribution Centre's in Stoke-on-Trent are a necessity.
What you'll do
- Feed into the planning and development of new short-term space activities and the activities of current projects and programs. Interact with Trading teams, Central Merchandise and Supply Chain to forecast space requirement orders and identify potential over capacity risk.
- Interact with key business areas to ensure we have reliable data to feed into Dunelm’s supply chain forecasting model, which provides our future requirement for stock holding and throughput across each channel.
- Support with scenario planning changes in the supply chain and their impact based on financial, operational and or economic constraints to help guide the decision on the best way forward.
- Analyse data and identify areas of improvement around the movement of stock through the supply chain, within each delivery channel, in the most cost-effect manner.
- Provide insights and an independent assessment of our forward risk profile.
- Provide clear communication for the Supply chain and commercial teams describing the current stock position and forward view of requirements.
- Seek to improve and manage data gathering methodologies and review current processes of supply chain datasets.
- Support and complete a small number of strategic projects, such as lead time reviews, cost reduction such as review of aged delivery profiles, including improved visibility of schedule changes, container fill maximisation, origin shipment options supporting the wider supply chain, etc
- Compile, analyse and interpret monthly reports and other data as required.
Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A bachelors or graduate's degree in business management, logistics, engineering, computer science or statistics, or equivalent experience – and/or at least three years of experience working in logistics/manufacturing planning function or supply chain management.
- Proven commercial awareness and business acumen with a strong technical grounding and a process improvement mind set.
- Analytical, strong problem-solving skills with S&OP Experience.
- Excellent organisation and planning skill, with ability to effectively prioritise and delegate.
- A clear, strong and self-aware communicator with ability to influence others.
- Adaptable and effective decision-making.
- Able to take ownership and responsibility, proactively seeks out solutions and opportunities to improve.
- Strong leadership and influence skills, with a proven ability to work with multiple levels of leadership and stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders through email and video conference.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of supply chain.
- Advanced Excel skills, experience working in and maintaining databases using Microsoft Excel and others, in accordance with company processes.
- Experience using business intelligence tools, such as PowerBI.
- Exhibit strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with SQL and CPIM software and systems.
- Fluent in statistics, planograms, spreadsheets, and frameworks.
- Comfortable collaborating and making decisions with an eye on continuous improvement.
