Du Pont (U.K.) Industrial Limited, where the globally recognised Kevlar® yarn is manufactured, are seeking a Graduate Engineer, to be based in Maydown, Derry / Londonderry.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of a team dedicated to leading continuous improvement initiatives, driven by evidence-based analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Comply with company Safety, Health & Environment standards, and procedures.
- Develop and problem-solve processes to support the manufacture of Kevlar® yarn applications. Monitor and manage process variables to achieve efficient production.
- Lead or participate in front-end loading of capital projects.
- Lead or Participate in Process Hazards Analysis (PHAs) for existing or new processes.
- Apply knowledge of the Line of Business (LOB) technology to define and implement solutions for Process Safety Management (PSM), Grow and Improve projects.
- Lead or provide technical support for Root Cause Analysis investigations.
- Provide day-to-day support to operations
Essential criteria
- BEng degree in an Engineering discipline (e.g. Chemical, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Manufacturing)
- Legal right to work in the UK, without the requirement for DuPont to act as a Visa Sponsor
Desirable criteria
- A minimum of one year’s relevant process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
