What are we offering?
Our 24-month International Professionals Programme (IPP) is an immersive, focused and supportive programme for successful graduates to unleash their potential and kick-start a career at the EBRD.
The IPP is made up of assignments designed to provide meaningful, hands on experience, and the opportunity to develop your skills alongside top subject matter experts in a range of fields. There will be rotations through relevant departments, as well as an assignment to one of our Resident Offices, deepening your understanding of and engagement with the very core of the EBRD’s mission and impact in our countries of operations.
During the programme you will undertake a tailored learning and development plan which encompasses in-depth technical training as well as personal and business skills development. You will be supported by your line manager, and a dedicated Programme Manager.
What does the role of an Operations Analyst look like?
You will be responsible for supporting the Banking Services teams within Operations and Service Management (OSM). This will include executing operational processes across a range of activities in equivalent middle and back office support functions that facilitate the adequate documenting, booking, funding and monitoring/reconciliation of the Bank’s products (e.g. disbursing bank and donor funds across a range of product types, analysing and interpreting legal documentation and booking transactions). In addition you will support the wider team on a variety of tasks associated with a portfolio of projects relating to transactions, reporting and data management.
This unique and dynamic team is home to many different sub-teams, all integral to the smooth running of the Bank and you will rotate through these sub-teams, learning and developing as you go. Teams include:
- Banking Services – Financial Institutions
- Banking Services – Corporate Sector
- Banking Services – Sustainable Infrastructure Group/Energy
- Banking Services – Securities and TFP
What are we looking for?
In addition to initiative and a sense of adventure, we are also looking for diverse candidates who have the following:
- A recent degree in a business relevant field.
- Some understanding of Investment Banking and Credit products such as but not limited to, Loans, Equities, Grants and Bonds.
- Ideally some operations and/or administrative experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite products – ideally Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Self-starter, with a proactive and collaborative approach to analysing and solving problems.
- Attention to detail and ideally experience in reading and analysing legal documentation.
- A keen interest in international development and private sector development.
- Results-driven with an open and flexible attitude towards change.
- A minimum of 6 months’ and maximum of twelve months’ experience of working, travelling, or volunteering.
- You must be a national of one of our shareholder countries.
