We are a climate finance leader and have also committed much of our activity over the last 18 months to countering the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
We invest in changing lives across three continents by building sustainable and open market economies wherever we work. But our vision for the future extends far beyond the recovery from the virus alone. By 2025 we aim to be a ‘majority green’ Bank, with more than half our business volume invested in climate finance.
We will also promote equality of opportunity through access to skills and employment, finance and entrepreneurship for women and young people. And we will help unleash the power of digital technology to bring about change for the better.
