Position summary

The Edrington Graduate Programme has been designed to help launch your graduate career and realise your ambitions. We encourage you to explore different parts of the business, build collaborative networks and develop your skills and experience in-role and through learning opportunities.

You will be based in our Finance teams working with our world-renowned whisky brands. Whilst obtaining a professional finance qualification. As a Finance Graduate you will develop a sound business understanding as well as a broad range of technical and leadership skills to succeed.

The programme will kick off with a comprehensive induction and immersive experience to fully embed you into the business. Responsibilities and objectives will be determined at the beginning of each rotational placement so that expectations and deliverables are clear, and measurable. This will be coupled with central and functionally led learning objectives which underpin the overall programme.

Job description

You will take responsibility to fully engage in all learning and role-based responsibilities and, throughout the programme, we will seek for you to build skills and knowledge in key areas, including:

  • Leadership essentials
  • Storytelling and presenting with impact
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • Owning ‘my development’ workshops
  • Project management
  • Understanding data and reporting
  • Commercial awareness, understanding finance
  • Reconciliation of financial information

Skills and experience

To be successful, you will be a university graduate, with a recently completed degree (graduating in 2021 onwards) in either Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics or Maths. You will be passionate and enthusiastic, with the ability to demonstrate leadership qualities through inspiring colleagues and leading by example. You will have the confidence to positively challenge, to solve problems and value diversity of thought. A resilient mindset, an agile and flexible approach, and the desire to collaborate with others, beyond your own team will be held in high regard. Accountability for learning, creating the space to be curious with a continuous improvement mind-set is essential.
