    As Research Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of ETF’s research, evaluation and policy insight function.

    Your profile

    You will have a solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, familiarity with the UK education and skills policy landscape, and a keen interest in the role of research in driving positive change across the Further Education and Skills sector. Being able to review and synthesise academic papers, secondary data, and other forms of evidence is required of this role. It will support with writing reports and presenting insights from research and evaluation projects to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that complex findings are communicated in an accessible way for a range of audiences.

    The successful candidate will have

    • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject (e.g. education, social sciences, public policy, research methods).
    • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods and experience applying them in practical contexts.
    • Confident analysing qualitative data including methods such as thematic analysis.
    • Confident using statistical analysis techniques such as regression analysis, with experience using SPSS, R, STATA or other similar data analysis packages.
    • Understanding of the UK education and skills policy landscape, ideally with a focus on Further Education

    Information

    • Starting Salary: £37,150 per annum to start, with service and performance related progression.
    • Contract type: Full-time and fixed term for 12 months.
    • Location: London Victoria/Hybrid
