Fire Safety Engineering Placement

EGGER, the largest family-owned manufacturing employer in Northumberland, is offering an exciting Fire Safety Engineering Placement for students currently studying an accredited electrical or mechanical engineering degree. What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the planning, monitoring, and reporting of fire and emergency drills and exercises.
  • Completing user checks and inspections of fire safety equipment and installations.
  • Helping to improve and maintain fire protection systems.
  • Working alongside external engineers on the service and maintenance of specialist fire protection systems.
  • Creating and maintaining reports, technical specifications, statistics, and other written documents.
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with risk assessments.

What we’re looking for

  • Currently in your third year (or beyond) of an accredited electrical or mechanical engineering degree.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Organised, efficient, and a strong communicator.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
