Fire Safety Engineering Placement

EGGER, the largest family-owned manufacturing employer in Northumberland, is offering an exciting Fire Safety Engineering Placement for students currently studying an accredited electrical or mechanical engineering degree. What you'll be doing
- Supporting the planning, monitoring, and reporting of fire and emergency drills and exercises.
- Completing user checks and inspections of fire safety equipment and installations.
- Helping to improve and maintain fire protection systems.
- Working alongside external engineers on the service and maintenance of specialist fire protection systems.
- Creating and maintaining reports, technical specifications, statistics, and other written documents.
- Ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with risk assessments.
What we’re looking for
- Currently in your third year (or beyond) of an accredited electrical or mechanical engineering degree.
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Organised, efficient, and a strong communicator.
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
