About the role
As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our finance team and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. You will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in various accounting processes, develop your skills, and contribute to the financial success of our organisation.
This is a permanent full time role working 37 hours per week. Working is flexible in relation to office attendance (1-2 days per week) and standard office hours.
Key responsibilities
- Validate cost of sales invoices to industry data
- Resolve queries with industry counterparties
- Providing information to support the month end reporting cycle
- Assist in the production and delivery of monthly management accounts
- Aid with variance analysis of revenues and costs and follow variances through to recovery
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent numerical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
