We're looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to join our Data & Automation Team. Working within the operational function of Enhance, the Data Engineer will be involved in automating the ingestion of investment-related data with various tools, including AI based tools and Alteryx.
The Data & Automation department delivers a number of initiatives per year to automate internal processes and improve the operational efficiency in various internal departments. Over time the Data Engineer will use data analysis tools to improve the ability to process and interpret data – ultimately enabling clients to make better-informed decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Collecting and processing data in order to generate investment reviews
- Identify and resolve data queries with a requirement to liaise with relevant counterparties when necessary
- Work positively and interactively with colleagues, driving a better working experience for you, the team and delivering a superior result for our clients
- Assist with defining new data collection and analysis processes
- Exhibit the ability to transform / prep / blend data using tools like Alteryx
- Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the business
- Identifying patterns and trends in data sets
Skills, knowledge and expertise
- A relevant higher education qualification is preferred
- Basic investment knowledge & understanding would be beneficial
- Knowledge of Alteryx would be a plus
- Work in a highly organised manner
- Accuracy & attention to detail
- Good written and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently & undertake tasks to completion
- Ability to demonstrate good use of initiative
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications
