    Our role

    Our ENWS team has a great opportunity for a Trainee Technical Coordinator to join them in Preston.

    As a Trainee Technical Coordinator, you will work as part of the office-based cut outs team, reporting to the Office Manager, planning in minor works on the LV network for our in-house jointing and electrical craft teams and delivery partners.

    A key part of your role is to arrange appointments with customers for external jointing works for cut out changes and to assess the work bank against our internal electrical network drawings (GIS Viewer). You will work closely with contractors and liaise with them to ensure all public and private jobs go ahead safely and to high customer standards.

    As this is a trainee position, you will be given a training pack which will include tasks to help with your technical development which will need to be completed and evidenced over 12 months, this will then be assessed based on your knowledge and experience.

    What we’re looking for

    • Previous experience working in the network utilities or construction industry;
    • Previous experience in contractor liaison;
    • Previous experience working in a customer service environment;
    • Previous experience working in a scheduling role;
    • Demonstrate a conscious level of commercial awareness.
