What you'll do

We are looking for a Technical Artist Intern to join us on the MetaHuman Art team. As part of the Art team, you will interact with our team of experienced artists and engineers as we continue to develop our character technology. You will work with your lead to help support internal projects which will improve the visual fidelity of digital characters in Unreal Engine.

In this role, you will 

  • Help improve MetaHuman materials and textures
  • Support R&D initiatives centered around digital humans
  • Build tools to support our art team
  • Work on profiling and improving performance of MetaHumans across target platforms

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5 using Material Graph and Blueprints
  • Experience using DCCs such as Substance Designer, Houdini and Maya
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python
  • Passionate about creating optimized real-time characters
  • Self-motivated and excellent communication skills to positively collaborate with our multidisciplinary team

This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the posting location for the duration of the internship.
