    EQUANS are recruiting for a Graduate Building Surveyor to be based in Newcastle. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

    General overview

    To assist in surveying and assessing the building stock in order to determine the scope of works. To also provide effective design information on time in line with programme requirements, to enable construction and materials procurement to be effectively carried out. To manage and work alongside Trades. To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy.

    Key accountabilities

    • Ensure implementation of all Company Policies and Procedures
    • Follow all Quality Assurance Procedures
    • To liaise with the building Surveyor(s) as to extent of works required identifying any additional works.
    • Assist surveying the building stock identifying required works and any issues which effect the implementation of works on site (Asbestos, tenants and residents’ special needs, obstructions etc.).
    • Assist in the assimilation of survey information into work phases and produce Spreadsheets detailing scope of works.
    • To assist in the production of house type information and drawings from measured surveys where required
    • To respond courteously and promptly to all client and customer queries
    • Record and report weekly schedule of surveys completed.
    • Any other reasonable management request

    • Ability to operate MS office (Word & Excel) (Auto Cad desirable)
    • Current and Valid UK driving license.
