EQUANS are recruiting for a Graduate Trainee Quantity Surveyor to be based in London and surrounding areas. This is a permanent role working full time hours per week. On offer is a salary of £26,000 and benefits package.
The closing date for applications is May 27th with the view to hold Assessment Centres in early July. Applications will be reviewed after the closing date and shortlisted after reviewing.
In this role we are looking for a candidate who has achieved a minimum of a 2:2 or equivalent in a Quantity Surveying, in return we offer you the chance to join our successful team working alongside longstanding and respected team members, learning from them first hand to develop your own skills and experience to support you in your career with Equans.
What will you deliver?
- To proactively support the Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor on the successful management and control of all aspects of the commercial/financial and contractual elements of the designated projects
- To control and maximise the company’s profitability, protect the companies legal and contractual obligations under the contract and to manage proactively the control of all commercial issues
- To assist the QS with commercial administration and management on a number of live projects or projects at pre-construction phase
- Carrying out various types of refurbishment work on social housing for a local authority client

Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
- Minimum 2:2 or post grad in Quantity Surveying
- Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with clients and team members
- Good level of construction industry knowledge, ideally via a placement or work experience
- IT skills – MS Office, Excel, Project, Word etc.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Keen to learn and develop
- Interested in a career within construction and Equans
- Driving license is essential
