    The Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in collating and analysing product data from within the Erudus data pool, aiming to extract valuable insights to help assist with and influence data-driven strategic decision-making across the company.

    This is a collaborative position in which the successful candidate will work alongside departments across the whole business, and whilst experience in data analysis will be welcomed, enthusiasm, motivation and a desire to learn and improve will be prioritised during the recruitment process.

    Role overview

    • Data Collection and Manufacturer Matching: Gather and review large volumes of food and non-food product data from the Erudus data pool, and match these results to our Wholesale customers’ stock list to provide coverage analysis and stock insight.
    • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Apply statistical techniques to analyse data, identify patterns, and extract meaningful insights. From areas such as nutrition-related trends to user login patterns.
    • Communicate Findings: Work with the marketing team to feed into industry reports by providing statistical analysis and/or data visualisations.
    • Forecasting Product Trends: Forecast product trends, patterns, and customer behaviour to make working with data more efficient. Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations to communicate the data findings and trends to internal stakeholders and customers.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: With the use of visualisation tools, such as Data Box, generate and analyse KPIs and OKRs throughout all departments.
    • Quality Assurance: Work with our internal food Technical team to identify and implement data quality initiatives, which in turn enhance data integrity for the entire user base.

    Requirements

    Education

    • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent education), with expertise in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field desirable, however not essential

    Experience

    • Experience in previous Data Analyst roles is strongly advantageous, however not essential. We welcome candidates who demonstrate a strong willingness to learn in post and grow into the role.

    Knowledge, skills and abilities

    • Strategic Thinker with strong analytical skills
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel Software
    • Prior experience using data visualisation tools is advantageous but not essential
    • Ability to strategically analyse data and provide valuable insights
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to adapt style and approach to the audience and message being delivered
    • Willingness to develop in a varied role
