The team
ES Live produces some of the most coveted and respected events in the capital such as the Evening Standard Theatre Awards, SME XPO, Step Up and Sneakerness.
ES Live also creates a host of bespoke live / hybrid / virtual events for clients and has an exciting pipeline of launches in development for 2024 and beyond.
Role purpose
- Working in a vibrant environment, the Event Marketing Assistant will support the Senior Marketing Manager in executing and maximising campaigns to ensure audience quality, volume and revenue targets are achieved/exceeded.
- The Event Marketing Assistant will support all promotional partner, supplier and creative agency output and relationships as well as all marketing activities across all suitable channels.
- Other responsibilities will include managing the ticketing set-up for all events, analysing daily ticket reports, analysing and reporting on metrics, and making necessary campaign adjustments to improve performance
- Creation, execution and analysis of post-event marketing surveys and wrap up reports.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Drive attendance and ticket revenue across all ES Live / Virtual / Hybrid events, through innovative marketing campaigns that target and build visitor communities
- Ensure audience quality, volume and revenue targets are achieved/exceeded
- Plan and manage the marketing campaigns including print, digital and social media
- Deliver the marketing campaigns across all channels including activities to generate sponsorship enquiries and bookings
- Ensure all materials and marketing agreements adhere to strict brand guidelines
- Manage all campaigns to schedule
- Create high quality copy for digital and print campaigns
- Proof marketing assets carefully
- Prepare and load website content
- Work closely with the sales team, operations team and event managers to fulfil and leverage agreements with sponsors, media partners and stakeholders
- Work closely with the sales team, operations team and event managers to support the success of all events
- Produce, maintain and analyse ticket reports to optimise campaign performance
- Work closely with internal teams including editorial, advertising operations, social media, email etc and appointed PR agencies to generating pre, at and post event coverage
- Ensure all bookings are up to date with internal advertising platforms and communicated with relevant internal teams

About you
- The ideal candidate will have or be looking to gain marketing experience in a fast-moving commercial environment
- You will have a passion for and complete belief in the marketing of consumer and business to business events
- You may possess experience within an events marketing environment already or be passionate about a career in business events
- An analytical and creative thinker, you will also possess excellent relationship management, influencing and presentation skill
- Ability to quickly learn internal systems including advertising platforms
