An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to undertake a work placement within the HR People Development Team.
The successful applicant will be offered the opportunity to support and gain hands on experience within the HR People Development Team whilst obtaining a valuable basis of HR skills.
About the role
The successful applicant will be involved in supporting People Development and talent management activities such as promotion processes, positive action initiatives, National Policing Professional Framework (NPPF) and succession planning.
This role will involve administrative support including maintaining and updating databases, arranging meetings, and assisting the team with planning, organising and facilitating officer promotion processes and other development workstreams.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate comprehensive experience of Microsoft Office packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of the National Police Promotion Framework (NPPF) would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent organisational skills and strong interpersonal skills.

Additional information
This role is based in Chelmsford Essex, however, there may be a requirement to travel to Kent on occasions.
Successful applicants for this role will be defined as an Office based Agile Worker - office based agile working with designated team area. Works predominantly (60% or more) in one office space. The rest of the time works at home or at other police site locations.
