About the role
We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern/Graduate with business degree related background to join our team on a fixed term 12–18-month fixed term contract. This role will be based at Prudhoe Mill Northumberland which is Essity’s largest operation producing a range of Branded and Private label toilet tissue products including leading brands Cushelle and Velvet.
What you will do
You will report to the planning Manager and work within the scheduling team. Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare planning information including daily revision and preparation for the following week.
- Ability to propose and create supply scenarios together with local Manufacturing and Markets counterparts
- Ability to effectively manage expected and unexpected changes in the plan, under time constraints and with limited information.
- Anticipate typical production trends and suggests new approaches for increasing efficiency and reducing waste/scrap
- Review historical business performance in scheduling to identify specific benefits for streamlining or improving the scheduling process
- Report of the efficiency and adherence to the plan in order to contribute to improve production planning effectiveness
