    Position Summary

    In this highly collaborative role, the Clinique Social and Content Assistant will work alongside the Social and Content Manager to ensure that organic content is planned and produced to the highest standards, tapping into trends, and driving virality whilst also adhering to the Clinique brand codes and tone of voice.

    This role is responsible for the planning and posting on all organic social channels, curating engaging content plans and copy that connects, resonates, and engages with the Clinique target audience. This involves taking a consumer-centric approach to content creation and planning, using data and insight to optimise performance across our organic channels. A keen interest in the UK beauty market, the ability to identify upcoming trends and a passion for the social space is critical for this role.

    This position reports to the Social and Content Manager and sits within the Consumer Engagement team.

    Key accountabilities include:

    • Own the curation, planning and execution of social plans across all organic channels, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube with the support of the Social and Content Manager.
    • Maintain posting schedules for all social media channels using past performance and data to inform timings.
    • Manage monthly social reporting, using data and insights to inform organic social planning, identifying new opportunities to test, learn and maximise performance.
    • Maintain consistent follower growth across all social channels with a primary focus on TikTok and Instagram.
    • Monitor social platform developments, keeping up to date with industry innovation, new platform releases and format trends.
    • Monitor relevant competitors to ensure Clinique’s social media channels stay ahead of the curve.
    • Self-create and edit high quality content to be utilized across channels, from Instagram stories to TikTok video.
    • Manage relationships with internal creators and Clinique consultants, briefing out content on a regular basis and managing approvals or amends.
    • Monitor emerging beauty trends on TikTok, choosing relevant themes for the Clinique brand and creating content reactively, either self-shooting or briefing internal talent.

    Key Roles & Responsibilities

    Organic channel planning & publishing

    • Manage organic channel calendar, forward planning content ensuring that all key moments and hero products are supported.
    • Creating engaging Instagram stories, choosing themes based on calendar moments and consumer mindset.
    • Create bespoke plans for each channel, catering content according to data and insights plus channel demographic.
    • Maintain posting schedules for all organic channels, utilising social analytics tools to optimise timings for maximum engagement and views.
    • Remain reactive and agile to new and emerging trends plus wider business goals, adapting calendars and content accordingly.
    • Ensure all copy is in-line with the brand tone of voice, locally relevant and engaging.
    • Be a guardian for Clinique social media channels ensuring that any content published is in line with the overarching content strategy and reflects our brand values.

    Coordinate cross departmental content

    • Utilise Clinique Consultants to create content for organic channels. Create clear briefs and guidelines, managing product distribution, content delivery, plus feedback and approvals.
    • Work collaboratively with the Internal Content Creator Programme to help drive trends for the brand, sharing briefs, distributing product, managing approvals, and attending monthly meetings.
    • Regularly monitor relevant Clinique hashtags and mentions to discover new UGC, carefully choosing content and gaining organic posting rights.
    • Work collaboratively with the CRM and Ecomm teams, sharing locally created content and trends to drive a 360 consumer approach.
    • Work collaboratively with the Comms team to stay up to date with press and influencer features, securing organic posting rights where relevant.
    • Closely monitor Global content distribution, downloading and correctly filing assets making necessary adjustments based on the UK market needs.
    • Work with internal ELC studios team, briefing assets as and when required to support key focuses and trends.

    Capturing new content

    • Create content whenever relevant, self-filming and editing for a quick turnaround.
    • Create content via iPhone to support events and real-time calendar moments, in line with brand and content guidelines.
    • Support Social and Content Manager on shoots by sourcing product, creating call sheets, booking studio space and talent plus creating content BTS.

    Community management

    • Work closely with Virtual Consultant team to ensure moderation is in Clinique tone of voice and comments are being responded to within 24 hours.
    • Monitor weekly moderation report, escalating any negative comments to relevant teams.
    • Monitor comments on 3 rd party channel features such as retailers and influencers, replying to comments where relevant.

    Social media monitoring, analysis & reporting

    • Measure impact and performance of social media activity and content and revise plans accordingly
    • Manage the production of the monthly social media report.
    • Keep up to date with the ever-changing social media landscape and share developments with the wider team.
    • Use social listening tool and industry trends to inspire content ideas.
    • Be constantly immersed in the social space with a primary focus on TikTok, sharing new trends with the wider team.

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    • 1-2 years’ experience within a social media role.
    • Solid understanding of the UK beauty market, with a personal interest in skincare and makeup.
    • Passion for the social space and proven understanding of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube.
    • Native user of TikTok, regularly posting on your own TikTok channel is a plus.
    • A keen eye for discovering emerging social and beauty trends.
    • Experience creating content using iPhone including filming and video editing.
    • Strong comfort level prioritising and managing multiple work streams.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing timings and deliverables
    • Proactive and positive team member able to take initiative.
