    The Estée Lauder Companies is currently seeking a Compounding Technician within the Compounding department on a 13-month placement opportunity to join an experienced and committed team at Whitman Laboratories whereas a site we manufacture around a fifth of Estée Lauder’s global sales output.

    The role will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with production teams to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement throughout the Compounding department.

    You may be working on a variety of projects as part of our team to help improve manufacturing process directly impacting on production output and quality. The successful candidate will be supporting the production team to meet ambitious schedules and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities include

    • The successful candidate will be working closely with the technical support team to support new product production approvals by ensuring the correct samples are taken and sent to the relevant parties, relaying any issues during production and any procedure modifications to R&D.
    • Manage the weekly new product production schedule to ensure quality assurance, planning, production, R&D and Product development are aware of the weekly new product plan.
    • The successful candidate will liaise with R&D to solve ongoing mass issues
    • The successful Candidate will carry out continuous improvement projects throughout the compounding department to improve product quality, manufacturing processes and batch cycle time
    • Conduct deviation reports on out of specification batches
    • Route Cause Analysis of compounding associated problems. Leading to reporting through CAPA and Deviations process.
    • Support both Technical support group and Compounding in Data collection, Project activities and reporting.
    • Manage New Product and Registration Sample collection and Shipping.

    Qualifications

    Studying an Undergraduate Degree in Engineering or related subject and be on track to achieving a 2:1 standard or higher. (A Chemical, industrial or mechanical engineering degree is preferred).
