The Estée Lauder Companies is currently recruiting for an Engineering Operations Technician (Intern) within the Engineering department on a 13 month placement opportunity to join an experienced and committed team at Whitman Laboratories whereas a site we manufacture around a fifth of Estée Lauder’s global sales output.

This role primarily focuses on the involvement in production support related projects includes report and documentation generation, supporting production line trials and conducting transit tests of new packages.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Actively build internal and external departmental relationships.
- Support cross functional activity relating to Safety, Quality and Project Work etc. with supporting documentation.
- Promote safe systems of work, adhering with Safety, Compliance, GMP and Audit working practices.
- Generate and develop saving initiatives, investigate their feasibility and facilitate and drive implementation of justifiable improvements.
- Maintain skills and knowledge of equipment and changing technologies with training and sharing of best practices with peers and other support groups.
- Participate in company initiatives as Subject Matter Expert to seek resolutions to common issues.
- Adhere to Regulations and Legislative working practices.
- Identifying opportunities and facilitating implementation using LEAN tools and techniques throughout the business to help improve equipment effectiveness, process and procedures directly impacting on engineering activity and customer service.
- Collaboratively work with vendors and contractors on a regular, day to day basis.
- Deliver excellent customer service and work collaboratively with customer and other support groups.
- Generate and develop saving initiatives, investigate their feasibility and facilitate and drive implementation of justifiable improvements.

Qualifications
Studying an Undergraduate Degree in Engineering or related subject and be on track to achieving a 2:1 standard or higher. (A Chemical, industrial or mechanical engineering degree is preferred).
