The Estée Lauder Companies is currently recruiting for an HR Assistant (Intern) within the Human Resources department on a 13-month placement opportunity to join an experienced and committed team at Whitman Laboratories whereas a site we manufacture around a fifth of Estée Lauder’s global sales output.

The HR Assistant (Intern) provides a professional, proactive service for Estee Lauder’s UK Manufacturing Site, Whitman Laboratories, HR department. They work collaboratively with the wider HR Team to support the smooth running of the department. The HR Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations. The HR Assistant may also be managing internal communications, supporting recruitment and HR projects as determined by the HR Manager.
The HR Assistant is a major asset to the department and gives successful candidates great exposure to the full remit of HR generalist.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting organization of employee life cycle.
- Administrative support for the HR Department including, department enquiries, liasing with Employee Service Centre, and support for wider HR Team.
- Carry out external benchmarking to understand best practice in the HR space
- Active involvement in different projects and HR strategic initiatives, including Inclusion & Diversity, Employee Engagement Initiatives & other project coordination.
- Play an active role in coordinating STEM & ESG initiatives on site
- Running of Employee Resource Group, GenNEXT
- Administer employee benefits including transport benefit, long service/recognition awards and seasonal tasks
- Creating and managing internal communications for the department.
- Actively support the Recruitment & Employee Relations functions of the HR department.
Qualifications
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, strong administration experience, strong IT skills; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. Confidentiality, ability to have tact and diplomacy with all levels of employee, Strong written and aural communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines, Presentation skills. Consider themselves to have personable characteristics.
